At GuardsPro, we’re always listening to your feedback and working tirelessly behind the scenes to deliver the most efficient and user-friendly experience possible. That’s why we’re thrilled to share a sneak peek of what to expect in the upcoming GuardsPro Guard App 8.3.0 release!
This version is packed with exciting new features and thoughtful enhancements designed to make your security operations smoother, faster, and more reliable. Whether you’re managing site tours, logging reports, or staying on top of tasks and policies, this release will give your team even more control and confidence on the job.
Let’s take a quick tour of what’s on the way — without giving away too much. Here’s what you can look forward to:
Site Tour & Scan Tag Enhancements
Tour-specific settings now control when guards must add notes during tag scans, offering more granular enforcement. If not configured per tour, the system falls back to the previous guard-based settings.
Guards may also be required to submit multiple media files after scanning a tag, depending on tour configuration. The Tag Note screen will support custom forms defined by the admin, ensuring guards provide specific information relevant to the site.
Company Policy Acknowledgement
Admins can now enforce policy acknowledgment. If enabled, guards won’t be able to use the app until they acknowledge all assigned policies. This ensures all guards are updated and compliant before starting their shifts.
Media Attachments in Reports and Incidents
Guards can now attach images, audio, or video files directly within report forms and Parking Manager incidents. Media will be viewable inside the form, making reporting more complete and visual.
Fall Detection
A new safety feature detects if a clocked-in guard falls and sends an alert through live tracking, tracking history, and API. It’s an added layer of protection during shifts.
Task Creation
Guards can create their own tasks within the app, depending on permissions set from the web. This adds flexibility to manage on-site responsibilities directly.
Visitor and Contact Labels
New label fields have been added to Visitor and Parking Manager Contact forms. Guards can select predefined labels or create new ones, helping categorize entries more effectively.
Emergency Contact Relationship
A new field in the guard profile captures the emergency contact’s relationship and displays it clearly in the profile details for better context during emergencies.
Recurring Reminders
Guard reminders now support repeat options: weekly, monthly, or yearly. The reminder list will reflect these intervals, making it easier to manage ongoing responsibilities.
License Plate Scanning in Parking Manager
Guards can now scan license plates using their device camera to search for vehicles in the Parking Manager list. It’s a faster way to locate entries without manual input.
This enhancement is part of our broader mission to make parking management smarter and more dynamic.
